A Call to boycott Christmas! Read on....
May I have your attention please? This message is directed toward all those who are bothered by religion in American life, namely Christianity, Christian churches, televangelists and Christian talk show hosts.
I have a strange offer. I invite you to boycott Christmas. That’s right; just refuse to observe it all together. For so long, so many of you have been offended by our efforts to keep prayer in schools, to stop the murder of the unborn, to take stands for the family and to out right share the Gospel. It seems that so many of you find dedicated Christians and Christianity to be a such a “narrow minded and intolerant faith”, that you refuse to have anything to do with it, and want to make sure that others do not as well. So my invitation is, don’t take it anymore.
Sounds strange doesn’t it? Let me explain. I invite you to drop all references of Christmas from you sales plans in stores; all mentions of the birth of my Savior from your fundraiser projects; refrain from using the day that Christians remember and celebrate the arrival of our Messiah as a reason to take days off work; cease from taking the name of my Lord in vain as a pitiful excuse for your drunken parties and perverted displays. Just drop out!
Of course that means you won’t be able to have the big “Christmas Sales”, “Christmas Specials” on radio and TV, Christmas Holidays, Christmas Parties, Christmas Parades, and the of course Santa Claus. Ultimately that means you will not be able to rake in the big bucks by selfishly benefiting from the greatest event that this world will ever see, the moment that God showed His ultimate love toward us by giving us His Son.
Better yet, why not openly accept for yourself, the very reality that you know is the truth but refuse to accept; that the only real reason to be on this earth is to please Him. Why not accept the fact that the birth of Jesus the Messiah, is the ONLY, and ABSOLUTELY THE ONLY reason for Christmas and make this Christmas the season of your rebirth.
Philippians 2:10, 11, “That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth and things under the earth; and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.”

I seem to match your criterea, so I guess you're addressing me. Actually I wish the whole lousy noisesome mess *would* just go away - I hate Christmas. I hate the adverts which exploit it for every penny they can - I hate the way people feel obliged to go through all the routines just becuase everybody else is. Buy a tree, bake a cake, take advantage of all the special shiny plastic christmas sales. It's rubbish - we'd be better off without it. But unfortunately I'm not in a position to do away with Christmas - I don't have any sales plans which refer to Christmas. I don't have any fundraiser projects which mention the birth of your Saviour. I don't need an excuse to get drunk and display my perversion - that's pretty much a regular night out in my circle.
I just don't get what you're saying about Jesus - or God I suppose, as they're the same thing. Aren't they? It's pretty confusing stuff really. Why should I accept that God wants me to do certain things? Why should you? Who told you that? It was a priest, right? Or your parents - probably both. It must have been someone, because you and I both know you didn't just pick up a bible as a kid and decide everything in it was true. People told you to believe this, and you were too surrounded by them and too young not to. But think about it - what reason is there to believe any of it? Does it actually make sense? Why does God - who has infinite wisdom and infinite power - care about, say, a man in Jamaica putting his penis in another man's anus? Does he disapprove? If so, why did he create both men and make them engage in this act - since God is all-powerful, we must give him credit for everything which happens at any point in creation. I just wondered if you ever think about it like that
